One of the best things revealed to me at college has been the greatness of This American Life. Before, I'd always thought of it as Summer on The OC had — Is that that show by those hipster know-it-alls who talk about how fascinating ordinary people are? Ugh, Gawd!
It may well be! And that's why I love it. On a free podcast released mid-December (but originally aired in 2003, evidently), the TAL team crammed 20 stories into one hour-long episode. My favorite part of it was a clip from Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, a play by the Chicago-based Neo-Futurists.
