Building the New Digital Collections at John Jay

Robin presenting

Presentation given January 15, 2014, at METROcon, the annual conference of the Metropolitan New York Library Council.

Slides (PDF, 3MB)

In this presentation, I introduced and soft-launched the Lloyd Sealy Library Digital Collections when it was still in "beta." I walked the audience through a few of my favorite items (such as Gordon Hamby's dashing mug shot and a police dog chase at the 1915 NYPD Annual Games). I also gave a behind-the-scenes tour of CollectiveAccess, our chosen CMS.

The METRO photographer also caught me looking excited as all get-out during the keynote or maybe lunch.
